Anteloup are a Nottingham-based, cross-genre original music band. Covering all manner of musical styles, from pop, to rock, to reggae, to synth-led MOTR, they provide a mature, multi-layered approach to providing live music.

So, What have the guys been doing?

Oxjam 2017 was an absolute smasher for the band, with loads of great feedback and offers of festival dates for 2018. Keep an eye out for upcoming gigs and festivals, as details will be posted as soon as they are confirmed.

There's also some new material in the offing, with the guys putting the finishing touches to 2 more songs, earmarked to be debuted at The White Lion gig on December 3rd. Again, you can expect them to be completely different to their other songs, further showcasing the band's freedom in musical style and genre.

The New Year also looks to be an exciting time for the band, as they head to the studio to record their debut EP. No details on what it will be yet, and the boys are being very tight-lipped about it. But they have hinted that there will be a previously-unperformed song on the disc. We wait with baited breath!

In the meantime, check out the Videos page for a couple of vids, or search for Anteloup on You Tube for a few more snippets...

Anteloup are again gracing The White Lion in Beeston on Friday 3rd December. No cover charge - just great music, drink and Sergio's fantastic Portuguese tapas!

Not only that, they will be supported by local duo The McConnell Brothers, bringing their inimitable guitar/banjo led approach to both cover and original songs.

So, be sure to be at The White Lion from 8.30pm on Friday 3rd December!

Oxjam Beeston Takeover - 2017

Anteloup had a corking time at the Oxjam Beeston Takeover this year, bringing their unique style to The Crown Inn, Beeston.

Enjoying an earlier, daytime slot, the outdoor area soon filled up as the band kicked off with old favourite "A Little Bit Like Kiss Me," along with the inspirational "Today," as well as new song "It's A Shame." Some brand new material was also aired; the dreamy "New Morning" and re-worked "Nothing Stays The Same" both being well-received by ever-growing crowd.

The band always enjoy Oxjam and are happy to play at whatever time best suits the organisers. They were especially happy this year, as the early slot meant they could enjoy the rest of the music on offer. As well as a pint or two..!

Set List (Almost) Confirmed

The band are really gearing up for the Oxjam Beeston Takeover on 14th October, and have been re-working and drilling the set-list, but not without a little bit of head-scratching....

"We're a bit torn between 'Jodie' and 'We've All Been There' as a finale," explains Luis. "We really want a diverse set, that shows the range of our material, while also ensuring we hit at least one genre that everyone will like. Both Jodie and We've All Been There are more rocky numbers, with great endings that ensure we finish with a bang. Jodie is really popular and gets a great response, but we've also re-worked We've All Been There, which now has a lot more dynamic to it and a smasher of an ending. We're already committed to the other songs, so can only do one or the other. We're running them both in our practice sessions, but still can't decide which..."

It seems that the only way we'll find out what the decision is is to head along to The Crown, Beeston on the 14th October and watch the gig!

The band have confirmed the following, just to whet our appetites: Today, It's A Shame, New Morning, Nothing Stays The Same, Frozen Turkey...... Watch this space for further set list details.
